Tanja, it's so like you to see the light in everyone (she was an "excellent grandmother" and they inherited her "beautiful blue eyes"), even when that light isn't shared with you. My deepest sympathies in the loss of your mother; I too lost a mom who wouldn't (or couldn't) share her light with me. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers as you make this journey.

Thank you so much. We are suggesting in her obituary donations to the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital. They provided her with excellent care which for sure gave her extra years with us. She also used to volunteer at the center.

whenever you read this ... thank you for sharing your feelings, thoughts and experiences "in this case" as well.

I am quite sure that many people are thinking of you now because they have experienced such a loss themselves. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who wished I could hug and comfort you at least virtually.
